STUDENT ACTIVITIES-GET INVOLVED

MSU is a huge campus and there are numerous opportunities to get involved with many, many different groups.

Global Festival

This event is for the general public and held at MSU in the fall. Both performances and information/ cultural booths are typical. Check out info from last year. We strongly encourage you all to participate.

International Speakers Program

This group matches FLTAs (and other international students) with community groups that want to know something about various countries. This could include going to local schools, senior citizen centers, library book clubs, etc.. A great way to meet many Americans.  (Volunteer!)

International Friendship Program

Be matched with a local family and learn more about American culture. Most FLTAs participate in this program and find it to be very rewarding. (Learn more!)

Community Language School

Ms. Sandhya Shanker, the director of the school, has numerous activities working with elementary, middle, and high school students throughout the year.  Participating in these events is a great way to get connected and learn more about our school systems.
